Beyond stabilization: call for growth strategy
Sri Lanka, Oct. 9 -- Four years after Sri Lanka fought for basic economic survival with usable foreign reserves plummeting below $400 million, the island nation has successfully stabilized its economy.
However, stabilization must serve as a launchpad for sustainable growth rather than its final destination, declared Thisan Subasinghe, President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka).
