Sri Lanka, May 15 -- As part of the islandwide 'Clean Sri Lanka' programme, a beach cleanup project was carried out at the Wattala Preethipura beachfront. The event was held under the leadership of Deputy Inspector General (Environment) Roshan Rajapaksa, organised by Wattala Police.

This programme, conducted under the direction of Wattala Police OIC Chief Inspector Prasanna Jayalath, saw participation from environmental officers and police officers from 13 police stations in the Kelaniya Police Division, members of 10 civil security committees, teachers and students from schools around Wattala, volunteer organisations, and local residents.
