Sri Lanka, Aug. 8 -- Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) President Rajeev Amarasuriya met Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith at the Archbishop's House in Colombo yesterday (7) for talks on judicial reforms, including the 22nd Constitutional Amendment.

Speaking to media afterward, Amarasuriya said the BASL would continue its work as it has for 52 years, strongly and without any change,adding that its position was not something personal. He said the BASL spoke on behalf of lawyers, judges and the country as a whole, and reaffirmed that the BASL stood for the people of Sri Lanka.
