Sri Lanka, July 15 -- Mr. Indrananda Abeysekera, President of the Association for Sri Lanka-China Social and Cultural Cooperation (ASLCSCC), has been conferred a rare honour by the Yunnan People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (YNPAFFC) following his appointment as an Honorary Member of its First Council.

A longstanding friend of Yunnan and the YNPAFFC, Mr. Abeysekera has maintained close ties with the province since his first visit in 1987. He has since strengthened the relationship through more than 20 subsequent visits.
