Anti-Corruption Act amendments shield Ministers, officials - MP Mujibur
Sri Lanka, Oct. 9 -- Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Mujibur Rahman told Parliament that new amendments introduced to the Anti-Corruption (Amendment) Act by the Government restricts public's ability to question their asset declarations. He said the primary objective behind the proposal to amend the Act appears to be specifically, to shield MPs, ministers, and public servants by allowing them to avoid disclosing their assets and liabilities.
