Sri Lanka, July 31 -- The Anglican Church while expressing its disappointment over the Government's decision to bring an amendment to the Constitution extending the retirement age of the Apex Court judges, yesterday called on the President and the Government to withdraw the proposed Constitutional amendment.

The Church in a statement issued under the hands of Colombo Bishop Dushmantha Rodrigo and Kurunegala Bishop Nishantha Fernando said that the real motivation for this amendment lack bona fides.
