Sri Lanka, Aug. 27 -- Senior attorney Ashoka Serasinghe said the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution amounts to a major reform rather than a simple constitutional change."This is a people-centred reform that will work in favour of the public, and against those who oppose it," he said.
Speaking at a press conference organised by Lawyers for Public Mandate in Colombo yesterday (26), Serasinghe said previous governments had introduced constitutional amendments to serve various personal agendas.
