Sri Lanka, April 2 -- The Colombo Magistrate's Court today (02) ordered the issuance of open warrants for the arrest of Shamindra Rajapaksa, the son of former minister Chamal Rajapaksa, and Priyanka Niyomali Wijenayaka, the wife of former SriLankan Airlines CEO Kapila Chandrasena, in connection with the alleged bribery case linked to the purchase of Airbus aircraft.

The order was issued by Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama after considering a request made by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

The Magistrate also directed that the order be communicated to all airports in Sri Lanka.South Asians & Diaspora
