Air Force choppers, troops on standby for weather emergencies
Sri Lanka, May 15 -- The Sri Lanka Air Force states that helicopters and troops are on standby to respond immediately to any emergency caused by the prevailing adverse weather conditions.
Air Force Media Spokesman Group Captain Nalin Wewakumbura told the Daily News that Bell 212 and 412 helicopters belonging to the Sri Lanka Air Force, as well as troops, are on standby to address urgent situations, taking into consideration the adverse weather conditions currently affecting several districts in Sri Lanka.
