SriLanka, Sept. 29 -- National Organiser of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, MP Namal Rajapaksa, who was arrested over alleged involvement in the Airbus deal, has been further remanded until October 13 by the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court.

Rajapaksa, who is currently in remand custody, was produced before the Fort Magistrate's Court today (29) as a suspect in an investigation conducted under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

He was arrested on September 4 over allegations that he accepted a bribe of LKR 100 million from a Sri Lankan businessman on several occasions in 2014 and 2015 in connection with the purchase of aircraft for SriLankan Airlines.
