Sri Lanka, April 10 -- Showers or thundershowers are expected in several parts of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, and Uva provinces, as well as in the Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts after 2.00 p.m. today, according to the Department of Meteorology.

Most other areas of the island are likely to experience mainly dry weather conditions.
