SriLanka, April 4 -- Several parts of the country are expected to experience showers or thundershowers after 1.00 p.m. today (04), according to the Department of Meteorology.
The department said fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 75 mm is likely at some locations in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, North-Central and Eastern provinces.
Meanwhile, misty conditions can be expected during the early hours of the morning in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva and North-Central provinces, as well as in the Kurunegala and Vavuniya districts.
The public has been advised to take adequate precautions to minimize possible damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
