Sri Lanka, April 9 -- The "Rebuilding Sri Lanka" Presidential Task Force met Tuesday (07) afternoon at the Presidential Secretariat under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya.South Asians & Diaspora

Extensive discussions were held on the current progress of the "Rebuilding Sri Lanka" programme and its future plans.

Under this programme, the Prime Minister instructed officials to expedite the completion of compensation payments for those affected by the disaster caused by cyclone Ditwah. The PM also directed that necessary measures be taken to ensure that the repair of damaged houses and the construction of new homes are carried out systematically and without delay.
