Sri Lanka, Sept. 11 -- The 22nd Amendment to the Constitution benefits all Sri Lankans, United Workforce Community Secretary and National Organiser Dr.Ebraham Kuresh said at a press conference in Colombo.
Kuresh said the amendment, currently being examined by the judiciary, speeds up the judicial process and questioned why the opposition was protesting against it.
He said the number of judges would be increased through the amendment. He said his organisation, though not widely known, represents around 2,000 self-employed members in the Pettah and Colombo areas.
