Sri Lanka, March 25 -- Seventeen foreign nationals have been arrested in Galle yesterday (24) for allegedly carrying out online scams in Sri Lanka.South Asians & Diaspora

The arrests have followed a coordinated operation by officers from the Galle Police and Boossa Army Intelligence, following intelligence reports that exposed the group's activities.

The suspects, comprising Chinese and Vietnamese nationals, had been operating from a villa in the Godakanda area within the Poddala Police division, where they allegedly conducted their online financial scams. They have been handed over to the Poddala Police for further questioning and investigation.
