'The Sniper' at Iranian Cultural Centre
Sri Lanka, April 28 -- A special screening of the Iranian film 'The Sniper' will be hosted by the Iranian Cultural Centre on Wednesday, April 29, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Centre premises in Colombo.
Directed by Ali Ghaffari, the movie is based on the real life of Abdolrasoul Zarrin, one of Iran's legendary but most lethal wartime snipers. The movie portrays Zarrin's role during the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq War, where he became known for his exceptional marksmanship and battlefield impact. He is widely regarded as one of the most effective snipers in modern warfare.
