Sri Lanka, Oct. 5 -- "Police Officers who assist criminals, engage in drug trafficking, or maintain links to Organised crime have no place in the Service. The Law will be strictly enforced against them," stated Inspector General of Police (IGP) Priyantha Weerasooriya.

The IGP made these remarks while addressing a gathering of Police personnel following the opening of the official residence for the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) at the Buttala Police Station on Saturday (3).
