He confirmed that the vessel had been located outside Sri Lanka's territorial waters when it sent a distress signal at 5:08 AM. The Navy dispatched the first craft by 6:00 AM, followed by a second vessel at 7:00 AM, with Air Force units assisting in the operation. The rescued crew members were transported to the Karapitiya Hospital for medical treatment.
