'My son's fate is in God's hands'
Sri Lanka, June 9 -- Mother of former State Intelligence Service Director Suresh Sallay yesterday said that the fate of her son Suresh lies in the hands of God and she believed that the truth will emerge soon.
She came to the site opposite the Fort Railway station where a satyagraha was started by several opposition political parties including Sarvajana Balaya, National Freedom Front and Pivithuru Hela Urumaya against the detention of Suresh Sallay.
She broke down as she spoke to the media saying that people move freely because of the services rendered by the intelligence officials. "My son never sought publicity but he did his service to the country silently," she said.
