Sri Lanka, May 13 -- 'The Methsaviya Maithri Bhushana Awards' Ceremony and the organisation's 23rd anniversary were held on Sunday at the Nawa Rangahala theatre of the Colombo University.

The Methsaviya Manasa Maithri Education Development Foundation is an organisation comprising over 8,000 members dedicated to pioneering religious, educational, and social services.

The ceremony was presided over by the Chief Incumbent of the Tissamaharama Raja Maha Viharaya and the Chief Sanghanayaka of the Hambantota District, Ven. Dr. Devalegama Dhammasena Nayaka Thera.

The welcome address was delivered by the founder of Methsaviya and Chairman of the Arthur C. Clarke Institute for Modern Technologies, Senior Professor Chandana Jayaratne.
