Nairobi, May 2 -- The death of a veteran Nairobi gynaecologist has opened a new line of inquiry for investigators, who are now holding a woman described as his business partner as they piece together his final hours.

Police say the 45-year-old woman was the last known person to see Dr Job Obwaka alive before he was pronounced dead on arrival at a Nairobi hospital on the evening of May 1.

Dr Obwaka, an 83-year-old clinician whose career spanned decades of maternal care, had spent the day traveling to Kitengela, where he was scheduled to meet the woman for a business meeting.
