Nairobi, May 10 -- The Africa-France Summit being held in Nairobi provides an opportunity to discuss economic co-operation and enhance trade ties between the continent and the former colonial power.
This two-day Africa Forward Summit has brought together more than 4,000 delegates, including 30 African heads of state, business and global leaders, and civil rights groups, to advance a brand-new partnership agenda.
The first France-Africa summit to be held in a non-Francophone country is led by host President William Ruto and his French counterpart, Mr Emmanuel Macron. It will discuss debt-financing reforms, climate change, peace and security, especially the global terror threat.
