Nairobi, April 21 -- President William Ruto has said that issues surrounding the Itare Dam project have been resolved.
The announcement followed a high-level meeting in Rome aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and boosting trade, investment and broader economic cooperation between Kenya and Italy.
After talks with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and President Sergio Mattarella, President Ruto said the long-running standoff over the dam, which had stalled for several years due to legal and financial disputes, had been settled.
