Nairobi Hospital saga: Court extends order blocking DCI, DPP from arresting directors
Nairobi, April 9 -- The High Court has extended interim orders stopping a multi-agency team appointed by the government from arresting and probing the board of directors of Nairobi Hospital.
The court extended the orders issued last month despite protestations from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Renson Ingonga and the Attorney-General Dorcas Oduor, arguing that the orders were far-reaching with the effect of interfering with authority of investigative agencies.
The attorney-general had submitted that the summons issued to the board of management, in the course of the investigation, was not harassment or is it in any way unlawful.
