Nairobi, May 1 -- Nairobi Hospital board member, Dr Job Obwaka, is dead; Kenya Medical Association president, Dr Simon Kigondu, confirmed that Dr Obwaka passed on while being rushed to hospital.

Following news of Dr Obwaka death, Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has paid glowing tribute to the veteran obstetrician for devoting his life to advancing medical practice in Kenya.

"Dr Obwaka's work significantly strengthened standards of care and improved outcomes in maternal and reproductive health services across the country," Duale said.
