Nairobi, May 2 -- Norbert Matara, a 33-year-old Kenyan man in Newark, Delaware, has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder after stabbing his ex-girlfriend, 31-year-old Tracy Nyariki, to death in 2024.

Tracy's dismembered body was discovered in Aberdeen, Maryland.

According to the Delaware Department of Justice, Matara will face a mandatory life sentence. Prosecutors in Newark say Tracy's dismembered body was found stuffed in the trunk of Matara's car.
