Nairobi, April 27 -- Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was at the Milimani High Court Monday alongside his family and DCP leaders for the hearing of his impeachment case.
In the case before a three-judge bench of the High Court, he is challenging his impeachment from office in October 2024.
He is challenging the legality of the impeachment process, arguing that it was marred by irregularities and violation of constitutional safeguards.
His legal team expects constitutional questions on the removal of a Deputy President, separation of powers, and judicial oversight over parliamentary proceedings to be addressed by the court.
