Nairobi, April 30 -- The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has registered over 2.6 million voters following a combined push through continuous and enhanced voter registration drives, marking a major milestone in Kenya's preparations for the 2027 General Election.
According to the commission's final status report issued on Thursday, a total of 2,612,725 newly registered voters was achieved through two parallel processes. Of these, 267,249 voters were enlisted under the routine Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) conducted at IEBC offices between September 29, 2025 and April 2026.
