Nairobi, April 26 -- In 2023, Joseph Nyagechi Morema from Nyamira County moved residents of Minnesota to tears as he made a heartfelt plea to American authorities, urging intervention in the gruesome murder of his parents in Kenya.

Yet fate would chart a cruel and unexpected course. Three years later, Mr Nyagechi would lose his own life in the very place he had sought refuge and justice in Minnesota, USA.

Mr Nyagechi, the eldest son of the late Edward Morema and Grace Nyagechiwho were brutally killed in Nyamakoroto village in Nyamira County, died following a motorcycle crash in Eagan, Minnesota.
