Nairobi, May 1 -- Four people died in a head-on collision between a lorry and a salon vehicle on the Bomet-Narok Highway on Thursday night.

The fatal accident, according to the police, occurred at around 1:30 am at the Tegero area near Ololulunga in Narok County.

The Mitsubishi lorry was being driven towards Narok in the general direction from Bomet, while the salon car was heading in the opposite direction.

"The Mitsubishi lorry driver failed to maintain their proper traffic lane when it collided head-on with the oncoming Toyota NZE 100. As a result of the accident, four unknown persons were fatally injured while an unknown number were seriously injured," a police report which the Nation has seen, stated.
