Uganda to launch climate monitoring camera into space today
Uganda, April 9 -- A Ugandan-built climate monitoring camera dubbed ClimCam will be launched into space today, Friday, April 10, the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr Monica Musenero Masanza, has revealed. While officially launching this year's edition of the Science week, Dr Musenero revealed that the camera that shall be stationed at the International Space Station will, upon landing in August, pass through Uganda, Kenya and the other East African countries four times a day, where it will take accurate satellite images that shall focus on the weather forecast.
