Uganda, April 30 -- Calls to align policies between East African member states to solidify the burgeoning regional energy corridor and ensure that the arrival of First Oil serves as a catalyst for broad-based industrialisation capped the 11th Annual Oil and Gas Convention which ended in Kampala on Wednesday.

Uganda's High Commissioner to Tanzania, Ambassador Col (Rtd) Fred Mwesigye, one of the advocates, said such alignment is a prerequisite for the success of major developments, including the Tilenga and Kingfisher projects.
