Uganda, April 8 -- Uganda's U-17 National Team, the Cubs, have been drawn in a tough Group B of the TotalEnergies U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon), set for May 13 to June 2 in Morocco. The draw was conducted yesterday in Cairo, Egypt.

The Cubs will face two former champions; Ivory Coast, winners in 2013, and Cameroon, two-time champions in 2005 and 2019. The group also features debutants DR Congo, making Group B one of the most competitive pools of the tournament.

The top two teams from each group will automatically qualify for the U-17 Fifa World Cup in Qatar this November, while the third-placed sides will contest for the remaining two African slots.
