Uganda, May 3 -- Two teenagers have died, and their grandparents were injured on Sunday following a landslide that buried their house at Nyabiyonga Village, Kihumba Parish, Murora Sub-County in Kisoro district.

The deceased have been identified as Brenda Musoni, 14, and Esari Mujawimana, 12, while the injured are Benon Mulema, 70, and Avelina Mbabonye,60.

It is alleged that the two suffocated to death after the house they were sleeping in was buried by a mudslide.

"While sleeping in their room, their house was half buried by a landslide that caused their death due to suffocation. The two grandparents survived with injuries.'' Kigezi region police spokesperson, Mr Elly Maate, said on Sunday.
