Uganda, April 29 -- The police in Kwania district have arrested two students of Abongomola Seed Secondary School for the alleged murder of their colleague, a Senior Four student, over theft of a jerrycan and a bucket.

The suspects, identified as Douglas Egaru and Ivan James Okello, both school prefects, reportedly assaulted Solomon Lukori, 21, to death this Wednesday at around 5am after he was accused of stealing the property of fellow students from the boys' dormitory.

Police say the deceased, a resident of Emeng Village in Apolika Parish, Chawente Sub-County in Kwania, attempted to escape from the angry students, but he was pursued and arrested 400 meters away from the school compound, where he was assaulted and left with severe injur...
