Uganda, April 17 -- Police in Kole District, Lango Sub-region in Northern Uganda are investigating circumstances under which a three-year-old girl and her four-year-old brother burnt to death in a house fire on Thursday evening.

Ms Racheal Ajok, a resident of Teaboke Cell, Akwirididi Ward, Above Town Council is said to have left in the house her children Melissa Amule and Innocent Kizza sleeping at around 8pm on as she went out to buy some food items to prepare supper.

Ms Ajok told police that on her way back from the shop she saw her house on fire and immediately made an alarm that attracted her neighbours.However, it was too late to rescue the children from the flames. They were burnt beyond recognition.
