Uganda, April 29 -- Lucy Labong was on Tuesday evening swept away by fast-flowing water at Agagi stream along River Unyama in Pugiwnyi Parish, Unyama Sub-County, Gulu district.

The deceased, who was in the company of four others, all drowned while attempting to cross the stream at around 7:00pm while returning from Pugwinyi Market to their homes in Paranga Village.

However, the four identified as Ms Evelyn Laker, Ms Beatrice Ajok, Ms Pamela Amono and Ms Florence Adiyo were rescued following a search mounted between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM that same evening.
