Uganda, April 17 -- A road crash has left three mourners dead and sixteen others critically injured in Otuke district.

The incident happened on Thursday night at around 8 pm at Agwila village, Adwari Sub-County, when a speeding vehicle overturned while returning from a burial.

North Kyga Police Spokesperson, Mr Patrick Jimmy Okema, says the yet to be identified driver of the Isuzu truck registration number UBR 316D fled the scene.

It's alleged that while returning from a burial, the driver, who was on the phone and speeding, lost control and the vehicle overturned, killing three people instantly and injuring 16 other occupants, Mr Okema told this publication on Friday morning.
