Uganda, April 28 -- The Police at Katwe Division in Kampala have successfully foiled an aggravated robbery attempt and arrested three suspects, including two security guards, following an operation at Nesta Petrol Station along Salaama Road in Salaama Parish, Makindye Division, Kampala District, on April 27, 2026, at about 9:00am.

According to SP Rachael Kawala, the Police spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP), officers acted on credible intelligence indicating a planned robbery at the fuel station.

She said a tactical team was swiftly deployed to the scene, leading to the arrest of three suspects and the recovery of four pangas, which are believed to have been intended for use in the execution of the crime.
