Uganda, May 6 -- Preparations are high, with 35 heads of state already confirmed to attend as the days draw closer to the swearing-in of President Yoweri Museveni for the 7th elective term of office, the National Organising Committee has said.

National Resistance Movement (NRM) party Secretary General, Richard Todwong, attributed the high level of interest among actors to Uganda's political trajectory, anchored by the ruling party, which has maintained power for nearly four decades and recently secured a decisive electoral victory with 71.5 percent of the total presidential vote cast.
