Uganda, April 20 -- Police in the Greater Bushenyi region have arrested seven people as the investigation into the death of a local businessman continues.

The deceased, identified as Abias Asiimwe, 57, was found in a lodge in Ishaka Division, Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality.

Asiimwe, a resident of Kashenyi ward, had been reported missing by his family members on April 18, after failing to return home.

According to police reports, Asiimwe was last seen alive at Kashenyi trading centre before he reportedly headed towards a nearby lodge.

When he vanished, concerned relatives filed a missing person's report at Kashenyi police station the following day.
