Uganda, May 1 -- Corporate leaders and board directors from across the East African region have called for adaptive governance, innovation-led growth and human-centered leadership as businesses confront mounting uncertainty in today's volatile environment.

This was the central message at the 2026 League of East African Directors (LEAD) Convention held in Kampala on Thursday under the theme "Future Proofing Business: Risk, Resilience & Responsibility-Leading through Uncertainty."

The forum brought together regulators, executives and governance experts to rethink strategy and strengthen resilience in the face of global and domestic disruptions.
