Uganda, April 21 -- Mbale Diocese is entering a critical transition phase, with several clergy expressing interest in succeeding Bishop John Wilson Nandaah ahead of his retirement in 2027.
Rt Rev Nandaah, who was enthroned on December 5, 2021, is set to retire upon turning 65 in January 2027, in line with the Anglican Church of Uganda guidelines.
Sources within the diocese say at least seven clerics have already shown interest in the position.
