Uganda, April 19 -- The Private Sector Foundation Uganda has increased the funding for individual firms under the Investment for Industrial Transformation and Employment (INVITE) project to $40,000 (Shs148 billion) in its third call for applications, which closes on April 30, 2026.

The increment from the previous ceiling of $25,141,162 (Shs93 billion) is aimed at supporting manufacturers seeking to expand their businesses and boost exports. 

However, uptake remains low, with only 35 firms having submitted applications so far. This raises concerns that many eligible businesses could miss out on the opportunity.
