Uganda, April 25 -- A police officer identified as Detective Corporal Faizal Galandi, 41, attached to Dokolo Central Police Station, has been found dead in his room at Dokolo Police Barracks.

His lifeless body was discovered on Friday evening. Sources at the barracks say he had not been seen throughout Friday, prompting concern.

Colleagues broke into his room and discovered his lifeless body.

An investigation is underway, with statements taken from witnesses, according to SP Patrick Jimmy Okema, the North Kyoga regional police spokesperson.
