Uganda, April 22 -- The Prime Minister of Uganda, Robinah Nabbanja, has directed the Ministry of Water and Environment to officially hand over Bugoma Central Forest Reserve, located in Kikuube District in Bunyoro sub-region, to the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities to stop further encroachment and its degradation.

The directive follows a communication from the President directing the Prime Minister to ensure Bugoma forest is protected.

Ms Nabbanja made this directive today, April 22, at her office in Kampala during a meeting with the State Minister for Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, Martin Mugarra, and technical officers from the Ministry of Water and Environment.
