Uganda, May 10 -- Kenyan driver Karan Patel defended the Shell V-Power Pearl of Africa title in style when he defeated countryman Samman Vohra.
Karan had a poor start on Day One as his Skoda Fabia R5 suffered a steering problem and had to drive three sections without power.
While his mechanics worked hard to fix the problem, his rival and countryman Vohra was pushing hard and had a Day One lead of four minutes.
On Day Two, Vohra started where he left off and looked like a man on a mission. He extended his lead to eight minutes over Patel.
With two sections to go, Karan seemed like he could only fight for second position, but as they say, it is never over and the old lady sings. Lady luck was indeed on his side. Vohra's car got a probl...
