Uganda, April 21 -- A section of outgoing and incoming Members of Parliament has called on government to increase investment in Uganda's health sector, citing persistent gaps in access to quality care across the country.

The appeal comes as the 11th Parliament winds down and the 12th Parliament prepares to take office.

Kabale Municipality MP Nicholas Kamara highlighted the need to expand specialised treatment services, particularly cancer care, warning that many patients continue to face late diagnosis and limited access to treatment.
