Uganda, May 11 -- For nearly a decade, Sarah Nakitto has served as a midwife at Kyenjonjo General Hospital, dedicating her career to maternal care and safe childbirth. Today, however, she is on the other side of the hospital bed, battling end-stage kidney failure and urgently seeking Shs100m for a life-saving transplant.

Nakitto's health challenges began during her pregnancies, when she developed persistent high blood pressure. Although she continued medication after delivery, her condition gradually worsened. About a year and a half after her second child was born, she suddenly collapsed after experiencing a severe headache and was rushed to hospital.
