Uganda, May 3 -- Residents of Bisaka Village in Kitimbwa Sub-county are reeling from shock after a man allegedly strangled his wife and secretly buried her body in his garden over claims she had denied him sex for three months.

Mr Moses Ochongoli, the Nakivubo Parish councillor for Kitimbwa Sub-county, identified the suspect as Fred Anyire, 53, and the victim as Magadeline Ntegeka, 32, a teacher at Pick Hill Primary School in the same village.

According to local leaders, the incident followed prolonged domestic wrangles between the couple, who had lived together for about four years and had one child.

Mr Sylivester Kamali, the Bisaka Village LC1 chairperson, said suspicion grew after Ntegeka disappeared.
